“The show went on to receive three Emmy Nominations and brought in an audience of 11+ million American viewers per week.”

Episodes of the Dog Whisperer® show featured guests’ problem dogs, introduced through documentary-style footage and interviews with the owners.
It began on the National Geographic Channel way back in 2004, when we first invited viewers to get to know their canine companions better, by focusing on the dog’s needs rather than just their own.
Originally created and produced by Sheila Emery and Kay Sumner in conjunction with MPH Entertainment, the show went on to receive three Emmy Nominations® and brought in an audience of 11+ million American viewers per week. A number of entertainment-industry professionals have appeared on the program, including Virginia Madsen and Jada Pinkett Smith.
Since then, The Dog Whisperer® television series has aired in more than 100 countries, inspiring millions of dog lovers everywhere to become more responsible owners.
